Start with appearance, the existing surface, access and how you expect to maintain the area. We can review those priorities and the preparation required for each option.
Can I add a cover later?
Tell us that during planning. A future cover may require foundations, post locations or other details that should be considered before a new surface is built.

Send a wide view from the yard, the house wall and doors, both ends of the proposed area and any nearby drains or changes in level.
